People in the small, West African country, Gambia, are benefitting from fresh meat because of a new refrigeration system using three J & E Hall condensing units.
The Fusion Scroll units are part of the cold store and butchery solution that includes Kuba evaporators. The country’s president, Yahya Jammeh, demanded that the system met high UK standards to provide refrigerated meats for local customers.
The 36m2 cold store keeps beef, chicken and lamb at temperatures between 0°C to 2°C and uses two J & E Hall JEHS-0400-M3 units. The freezer room keeps the room at between -18°C and -21°C using a JEHS-0750-L3 condensing unit.
There are 1.9 million Gambians and many of them now benefit from the refrigerated meat, which comes from the central location to their local supermarket or restaurant.
