SustainaBuild - heating and cooling

Small and medium sized installer businesses in the construction can attend free events to help them take advantage of the growing demand for low carbon retrofit solutions.

The free events, announced by SustainaBuild, start on 21st April in Watford for businesses in the East of England. The first event includes a guided tour of the BRE innovation park, where installers can see ‘ground breaking’ green technologies installed in highly sustainable buildings.

The next event of 30th April in Colchester centres on a visit to Worsnop House, a sheltered housing scheme owned by SustainaBuild project partners Colchester Borough Homes. It benefits from a large low carbon retrofit that includes gas absorption heat pumps, renewable technologies and energy efficiency measures.

At the third event in Cambridge on 7th May, installers will get free, expert advice on how they can make the most of the low carbon opportunities in their own business.

“This is a great opportunity that not only gives small to medium sized businesses the chance to grow, but also helps stimulate low carbon economic growth in the East of England,” said Rebecca Bear, Programme Manager at SustainaBuild.
