Mansfield Pollard’s managing director, Joanna Robinson, has won the prestigious award of ‘Woman of the Year’ in a medium sized business in Barclays Yorkshire Women in Business Awards.

Joanna’s award recognised her ‘exceptional leadership’ shown as MD of the Bradford-based air-handling unit manufacturer. Joanna began as the company’s financial controller and rapidly progressed to being its managing director. Her vision for the company, and how she restructured the company, impressed the judges.

In November 2014, Joanna also won the ‘Corporate Leader of the Year’ accolade at the ‘Forward Ladies Women in Women in Business Awards.

Mansfield Pollard has 150 employees and its sales grew by 30% in its last financial year. Following on from some major business, the company now ships its air management solutions across the UK and as far as Azerbaijan and Dubai so far.

"To win Woman of the Year at the Barclays Yorkshire Woman in Business Award was a wonderful surprise, and an honour. Mansfield Pollard is built on a culture of collaboration and I see this award as recognition of the efforts of the whole team rather than just myself," said Joanna Robinson.
