Farms, houses and rural buildings will benefit from three new district heating schemes powered by three anaerobic digestion plants in Dorset.

The buildings are on Gaunts Estate near Wimborne. They are connected to the district heating scheme using 1.6 kilometres of REHAU’s flexible, pre-insulated pipework. Derek Moss, from Gaunts Estate, oversees the green energy project and he specified the pipework. PES, a REHAU specialist, installed the pipework.

All the pipework is in trenches between 0.5 and 1.5 metres deep in runs of up to 200m. The project attracts a lot of attention in the UK and abroad.
