Bitzer UK launched its new range of HE air-cooled condensing units that include its ECOLINE reciprocating compressor this week.
The condensing units have built-in capacity control that help gain top operational efficiency. Because of the EU's 2015 Ecodesign Directive, fans now have to have greater efficiency. The LHE range include EC (electronically commutated) fans, which means they meet the directive’s requirements.
The modular LHE condensing units are designed for the following types of application:
• air conditioning
• medium temperature refrigeration
• low temperature refrigeration
Specifications
• Displacements: of 4 to 110.5 m³/h
• Configurations: single and tandem compressors
• Refrigerant compatibility: R134a, R404A/R507A, R407A, R407C, R407F and R22 as well as low GWP HFO refrigerants and HFO/HFC mixes.
With EC fans, the units use less power compared to the previous LHE generation that included AC fans. They also make less noise because of the optimised airflow. Fan speeds are adjustable too.
The latest LHE condensing units range include a new mini-channel heat exchanger that uses up less without losing capacity. The five-millimetre pipe technology in the heat exchanger gives it excellent heat exchange properties, as well as making it smaller and lighter. It is made of top quality copper and aluminium, which makes it weather-resistant within its weatherproof housing.
There is no change to the LHE connection sizes, which makes retrofits easy. In addition, they have the same interfaces, which makes changing the mini-channel heat exchanger simple too.
